Barcode scanner app that checks if food is compatible with certain diets

I'm the owner of https://chompthis.com, which is a database of food and grocery items from all around the world. We have a proprietary algorithm that checks foods for ingredients that are not compatible with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diets. People use our website to look up food and to see if the food is compatible with their diet. This app would piggyback off of our API. More info below.

Target Audience

The app would piggyback off of our API, which already checks the food's compatibility with certain diets. The app would simply be a barcode scanner that hits our API and returns a JSON object. Audience is vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free people.

How do people solve this problem now?

There aren't really any good barcode scanner apps out there that do what we do. People have to actually read the product's ingredients themselves and determine if the product is compatible with their diet. With our app/website they just enter the ingredients that want to avoid, set their diets, and start scanning.
